We are planning a Spring 2024 litter with Pippa and Fraser!
Since late 2022, we have taken a sabbatical. During this time we and have been working closely with other trusted Australian Labradoodle Breeder friends who are also members of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA). We highly value our membership in the ALAA as well as in others. For our potential Pippa & Fraser litter we will be collaborating with Harmony Labradoodles.
Why choose us as your Australian Labradoodle Breeder?
When looking for a puppy there are many factors to consider, some more important than others.
Our Membership: make sure your breeder belongs to a legitimate breed organization that verifies the authenticity of pedigrees. The ALAA is the only verified database of pedigrees. Other breeders or entities have derived information from the ALAA. Belonging to more than one organization does not make a breeder "better". Understand the rewards of the organization, they are for health testing levels in the ALAA. Ask your breeder about theirs.
Our Pedigrees: make sure your puppy has a verified pedigree and an ALAA registration number. Your breeder can show you the pedigrees but many, including myself, will not post them for public consumption due to theft and fraud. They are a dog's identity.
Breed Standard: Cotton Creek Labradoodles understands the breed standard and strives to achieve it. We understand what an Australian Labradoodle is and is not. (Hint: the are the perfect combination of poodle, labrador retriever and cocker spaniel). If they breed other types of "doodles" ask why. Doodle breeds are not interchangeable. The Australian Labradoodle was bred to be a wonderful companion and is more than the color of its coat. They are playful, affectionate, outdoorsy and couch potatoes. Their temperaments are balanced to make them a joy to be around.
Temperament Testing: we temperament testing for puppies. Breeders, like Cotton Creek Labradoodles, who have temperaments evaluated on their puppies are looking for their puppies and prospective families to be a good fit. The "puppy will pick you" is an old myth. Sometimes puppies are tired, over stimulated or a combination during a visit. Temperament evaluations are done by trainers who are experienced and understand the science behind their evaluation. Temperament testing gives very helpful insight to the breeder about each puppy.
Price: Cost of your puppy should not be the only consideration. Responsible and ethical breeders base their pricing on a number of important factors: cost of veterinary care, quality of food for dogs & puppies, clean and enriching environments for puppies, continuing education, as well and the 24/7 care of puppies.
Environment: our puppies are raised in a healthy environment that promotes their physical and mental development. This means that as a responsible and ethical breeder, Cotton Creek Labradoodles provides puppies with more than just clean housing, food and water. We engage with our puppies in play and provide opportunities for them to socialize with both people and things.
